Hi. My name is Sabrina, your beloved Mang Romy's daughter. I felt the need to delete to old posts just because...just because I feel like now is "the" start of something new. And no - I am not quoting a Highschool Musical song.
As some of you might already know, my pops has been dealing with the most aggressive type of brain tumor. Yep. You read it right. So before I completely stray from the real intention of this post, I am gonna leave it at that: my dad's sick and it's sad.
But the business has to keep on going - and growing. And y'all going to have to trust me like you did my pops.
Pretty, pretty please. Trust me; trust me with the changes, trust me with the quality of food and service, trust me and my unconventional ways. Not to say I won't make mistakes because I have already made a few (more than a few) these last 5 months, but I promise you less mistakes as the days progress.
One important thing you have to know is I am not big on giving discounts. I am going to be transparent and tell you that we don't get to keep a substantial amount from our earnings. Almost everything goes to our employees' salary, electricity bills, water bills, phone bills,tax,grocery and local market items (because we have to have something to cook for you because that's what we do), gas, truck rental fee (yes, we don't have a truck of our own and it sucks)... I can't even remember the last time I purchased a brand new clothing item. Thank God for ukay-ukay. And yes, we need our own truck.
Hence, the price hike. The last price increase happened at least five years ago.
AT LEAST FIVE YEARS AGO.
I think we can all agree that it's about time [for an increase].
